Madi snowy lookin

When we put Madi to bed last night we told her she might get to see her first snow in the morning when she woke up. And sure enough she got to see 6 inches of it covering the ground! As we were eating breakfast this morning and staring out the window Madi says to us "Madi snowy lookin." She is so funny how she is putting sentences together. We bundled her up in 3 pairs of pants, 2 shirts, one jacket and a hat and gloves and went out to play. She loved walking around in it and loved throwing snow balls - at least she loved it until her gloves got soaking wet and then fell down and her hands were freezing!. Next year we need to invest in some water proof mittens!

Play Dough Talk

Today Madison and I played with play dough. She talked to herself most of the time - not really sure what she was saying - and I caught some of it on video. It's kind of a long video but fun to watch her entertaining herself!

We are not sure why Madi thought it was so funny that we were throwing things at her face but she thought it was hilarious. I think she loves her balnket so much she does not care what you are doing with it as long as it is close by. Her laugh is awesome!

Considering Daniel and I both have zero rhythm I would say Madison is doing pretty well. Her new computer plays music and she loves to help conduct!

Lazy Susan Spinning

Daniel made me a beautiful lazy susan for Christmas to go on our farmhouse style kitchen table he recently made for our house. Madison thought it was awesome and could not get enough of it!

Christmas at Geemaw and PaPa's House

Daniel's mom (now officially known as GeeMaw and no longer pap like she had been calling her the last month) always works on Christmas so we did not get to celebrate with them until Christmas evening. Madi enjoyed one of her favorite meals - chili - where she insists on eating like the adults by not using her spoon but instead taking big frito chips and dipping them into the bowl and eating the chili one bite at a time. She actually is really good at it and not messy at all! Then we enjoyed opening more presents. Madi got her own purple baby, more cute clothes, pjs and a handmade cutting board from her Dad. Her favorite gift of the night, however, might have been the new underwear I got from Daniel's mom (she gives all the daughter in laws underwear every year) - she loved wearing them! We are thankful this time of year for family who loves us and loves splurging on us and our daughter. We do not take it for granted!

Mewy Cwistmas

Madi amazes us everyday with her vocabulary. She loved telling everyone "Mewy Cwistmas". We woke up Christmas morning at my mom's house. It was fun to get to spend some extended time with my uncle Billy and my mom. We also got a visit from Madison's Great Aunt Frances. Gigi - the name madi calls my mom - continued her spoiling streak showering Madi with new clothes, a computer, and an awesome baby doll! She also got our family a portable DVD player which will be so helpful with our traveling schedule.

Dawgies

madi is really into animals - we ll at least froma distance. She gets so excited to see them especially when they bark. She is not really into them licking her and politely tells them "koko(my mom's dog)off no shankshu" - translated off Koko no thank you! She also is into their bed and loves to get in and out of their cage. Don't turn me in for posting this picture - she was happy to be in the cage I promise!!

Christmas at GeePaws

One of the joys of having ALL our families in Greensboro is that we get to divide our time everywhere as evenly as possible. This year we celebrated Christmas at my dad and stepmom's on Christmas Eve day. Madison has affectionately named my dad "GeePaw" and my stepmom "Vivi". It's really funny but she has adament about using those names. The spoiling for Madison began as she got clothes, puzzles, purses and a really cool worm bike that she loves!
