Thats all for tonight - my eyes are sleepy and there is a hungry baby to be fed!

Classic Family Beach Pictures

Would not be a complete beach trip without attempting at several different times throughout the week to capture the entire family looking halfway decent or at least looking towards the camera...we will keep trying - maybe when all the girls are 20 it will work!

Ash's highlihgt of the week might possibly have been getting to ride the "alligator" (elevator, really) up and down to our condo. Here facial expressions are priceless!!

Crazy Ash could not get enough of those popper things and was throwing them as fast as Uncle Jon could get them in her hands. Madison, on the other hand, played things a little safer from up on the balcony with Grandma Bass.

Audrey was wonderful all week - she spent her mornings and early afternoons sleeping in her little tent on the beach and and her later afternoons being held (and also slightly tortured :))by her sisters.

Lesson Learned: There are some things you do as a parent thinking "man, my kids are really going to love this and even though it is going to be a little work for me to make it happen, it will be worth it for the kids" - this was one of those times. I thought it would be really fun to go out one night after dinner and walk down and watch Daniel and Jon shark fish. We had to park illegally, strap Ashlyn on to Daniel's back, put Audrey in the sling on me and convince Madi that it would be worth the 3/4 mile walk to potentially see a shark. It was a decent idea until Ashlyn completely soaked her dress in the water and started crying, Madison wet her pants and would not stop crying about how I did not have any extra panties on me and Audrey would not stop crying because it was so windy out there. So after all that work, we left about 20 minutes later for our long walk back to the car - with Daniel's dad carrying pee-stained Madi, Ashlyn now strapped to my back, Daniel's mom carrying Audrey and sweet, very pregnant Margot carrying all the minnow poles the girls insisted they would need/use out there! I think we all went to be about 1/2 an hour after we finally got home!!

Beach Days 3

Ever since Daniel bought Madi her Barbie fishing pole she has loved fishing. Here they were trying to catch a bunch of fish to use as bait to catch the sharks with. They were catching about one every 5-10 minutes which was pretty good for them and we figured by the end of an hour or two they would have all that they needed. Then this sweet, "good 'ol boy" called down to them from his balcony and asked what they were doing. Next thing we knew he threw down his casting net for us to use. Needless to say, we caught all the fish we needed about ten minutes later - those nets are amazing!!

It's amazing how long plastic buckets can keep kids busy....

Check out Ash's sweet beer boogie board that she borrowed from the house where we were staying!
