And More

More Family

Family Fotos

Sweet Lindsey, our new staff friend from summer project, offered to take some pics of our family on the beach. She did a great job considering the humidity, bright sun and a one year old that needed to be taking her nap. I was also thoroughly impressed with her patience and ability to keep Madison entertained and engaged - great job Linds!

Teeth

Ash has been off and on fussy for about a month and she is always soaking wet - I will be so glad when all these teeth come in! Madison was never sad about her teeth so I never knew what all this fuss was about teething but now I can relate - thankfully they don't bother her at night.

Short Visit

The nice part of having all our family in Greensboro is that everyone is really close by but the hard part is that we want to see everyone and so every visit seems so short. Thankfully my dad does not mind hanging out with my mom so he came over to the pool and to dinner so we could all be together. We ended the night at Feeney's Frozen Yogurt - Michael has been telling us about it for months. You get your own cup and fill it up with whatever yogurt you want and then as many toppings as you want and then weigh it and pay - so fun!!! Well, we talked about how well one would do in Cary right near our house and low and behold as I was driving yesterday I saw one right next to Trader Joes by us and the best part was everything in the store was free from 4-6pm since it was the grand opening - so so so fun!! Sorry for the run on sentences - I am too lazy to fix them right now.

More Wedding

Kelley and Jeremy's Wedding

The day after geting home from Florida we got back in the car and headed east to Rose Hill, NC for Kelley and Jeremy's wedding. Kelley was a student I discipled while she was in college - she is best described as a pistol or firecracker! The wedding was beautiful and Kelly's dress was probably one of the prettiest I have ever seen. She has a natural beauty and carried herself so well that day. It was fun to go and get to see her special day!

Passing the Time

These pics really do a great job summarizing up our car ride back from Florida...Ash cried off and on most of the time because she continues to hate her car seat, Madi entertained herself perfectly as usual and only had to go potty once the whole trip home and Daniel enjoyed whistling to his new worship music cd that Lindsey made him!

Pirate Boogy

I wonder if these are my dance moves or Daniel's???

Storytime with Jordan

Jordan was one of the "pirates" that took Madi out on the ship. He is a great guy that Daniel has the privilege to work with back on campus. He loves the Lord and loves people well and is a great encouragement to our family! If you listen closely to the story you can hear some of Madison's comments like "shoot him with stars or a squirt gun" in answer to Jordan's question about what you should do if you see a pirate - hilarious....

More Pirate Ship

If you look closely you will notice that for part of the storytime Madison decided to lay down - not really sure why - but very typical of our "I'm not going to do the things the way everybody else does them" child!

The Pirate Ship

A few of the srudents who worked on the "Pirate Ship" suprised Madi (and us) with a special trip on the ship. They had even arranged for someone to watch Ash back at our house! Madi loved it and had a great time dancing, finding treasure, drinking soda, hearing stories and shooting people with water guns! We were so honored that they would tihnk for us with such a special suprise - one they had even used their hard earned money on to make happen. Everyday for this last week Madison has been telling people about how the students took her on the Pirate Ship - today she told her dental hygenist and the grocery store clerk!

Swimming with the Manatees

Well, we did not actually swim with any manatees but I thought the title would catch your attention. Daniel, however, was very close and jumped in right after we saw a huge "sea cow" swim by but these really loud, excited snorklers came over and scared her away. The river was a nice break from the bath like temperatured pool water we have been swimming in back at our "summer house". Madison of course loved driving the boat - check out the Michael Jordan tongue she has going on - I guess she does this when she is concentrating really hard???
